If you had employees who were not currently part of a Childcare Voucher Scheme by 6 April 2018, the opportunity to join the scheme would have not been available under rules to phase out new applicants to the Childcare Voucher Scheme.

Thankfully, following a Parliamentary Debate and vote on 13 March 2018 the Government have made the decision to keep the Childcare Vouchers Scheme (CCV) open to any new applicants.

They have made the decision that the April deadline for the removal of employer-supported childcare vouchers would be extended by a further six months.

If your employee has currently opted out of the scheme and are looking for the option to use the scheme in the future as long as they have made at least one salary sacrifice up until the end of the extension, even just £1 they will still be able to remain in the scheme for as long as they are eligible.
