Does payroll give you a headache each pay run?

Whether your business runs its payroll on a weekly or monthly basis, in the current marketplace, and with the ever-increasing employer compliance obligations under RTI, it is critical that employees’ pay is processed correctly.  Issues can, and do, come up, but what is key is how you resolve them and ensure employee relationships and your HMRC risk profile are not impacted.

With a fully trained payroll team and up to date legislation, management can review and monitor the payroll process more effectively ensuring it achieves a high level of accuracy and an increasing level of satisfaction for employees.

Anderson Anderson & Brown (AAB) training division’s specialist “Payroll Dos and Don’ts” course is positioned to support businesses to manage and understand payroll function more effectively. The course is designed for HR and finance professionals who are responsible for payroll processing in-house, or the management of their outsourced payroll provider, who are looking to:

  • Manually calculate the gross to net function demonstrating a broad knowledge of payroll and statutory obligations, including real time information reporting
  • Correctly handle starter and leaver payments
  • Minimise the potential risk for errors and penalties

The course will provide core payroll skills required to administer the payroll function, such as calculation of gross pay and statutory deductions. This course will also provide an overview of items such as court order, student loans and processing starters and leavers.

AAB’s “Payroll Dos & Don’ts” training course will be running on Thursday 27 April 2017 at AAB’s flagship offices at Prime Four Business Park, Kingswells.  More information on this specialist training course and how to book a place can be viewed here.
